Dont be daunted – learning how to draw and paint roses, one of the most popular flowers.
Study and learn to draw the complex structure of its flowers, the intricate ways in which the petals appear to curl and fold around each other. Learn how paint the dewy velvet and subtle veins of rose petals and the crisp edges of the thorns. Mix the right greens to paint life-like leaves. During this three day workshop we look in detail at all the perceived problems of roses, with exercises to build your confidence.
Each student will then work individually on a single rose portrait in watercolour – with the small group size allowing for plenty of advice and guidance from the tutor.
